The .net website may post very opinionated pieces that are NOT based on any factual information. They even attacked recent WCCUSD high school graduates from Students for Education Reform (SFER). SFER has their own separate process to endorse candidates and this did not sit well with certain adults. Guest Commentary written by a SFER member in 2014:

The .NET domain purchased by Mike Parker, of the RPA, does not post district news such as the fact that a Forensic Audit of the bond program was finalized by the district in September 2016 and then referred to law enforcement.
In 2015 the Contra Costa Grand Jury 2014-2015 Report No. 1514 "West Contra Costa Unified School District: Bond Program & Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee, A case in Study in Stymied Oversight."
School facilities cost three times the average amount.
The issues with the bond program and campaign contributions from construction related sources directly effects the rebuilding/ modernization of schools within Richmond and influences the focus of school board members on construction instead of education.
The overall aim seems to stop school options for our most at-risk students and force them back into failing schools.
Additionally their site may seem to promote candidates that are more pro-construction and the maintaining of police on school campuses, instead of hiring/retaining qualified teachers, providing more
There are many posts on the publiccore. net (AKA: www.StopSchoolOptionsforPoorKids.com) website
about charter schools that may not be in West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD) and their site contains many articles based on opinions, rather than on the fact as to why many Black and Brown students are seeking other options to leave WCCUSD.
programs and supports to improve educational outcomes for all students. The most disadvantaged students in WCCUSD are in neighborhoods with very low performing schools and high teacher turnover. The rhetoric on this site may be aimed to stop public charter school options for low income students; and because of the parents lack of knowledge and systemic racism in navigating the out of District transfer process, leaves low income parents with limited options for a better education, which is what that site wishes to continue.
The higher performing schools are in neighborhoods where parents have higher education and are better able to afford options such as private schools and transferring to other high performing districts with less diversity.
The main people associated with the publiccore. net (AKA: www.StopSchoolOptionsforPoor
Kids.com) website do not seem to live in the low income high minority areas with the lowest performing schools. The most vocal live in the El Cerrito school attendance area with higher performing schools.

The volunteers for this website are NOT pro-charter, however we can see that students have different learning needs and families may not be able to afford a private school or be able to transfer out of district. Parents choose to do what they see is best for their child to thrive. Improve educational outcomes in our district schools and there will not be a demand for charter schools.
It is our hope that we can work together on issues that may overall improve academics for ALL students and increase resources for teachers.
Influencing school board candidate endorsements
Is there a big influence by those benefiting from the construction program that are involved in candidate endorsements?
Example: Peter N. Chau was listed as a member of RPA's (School Action Team). He ran for school board in 2014 and received large construction contributions including from vendors that have received no-bid contracts, all while he served on the bond oversight committee. He also touted being endorsed by Charles Ramsey (see excerpt below).
EXCERPT: And Peter Chau, a clerk in the Contra Costa district attorney's office awaiting his state bar results, demonstrates horrible judgment by touting Ramsey's endorsement. The last thing we need is to finally rid the school board of Ramsey, only to have him influencing from afar. ... http://eastbaytimes.com/ci_26702533/contra-costa-times-editorial-cuevas-donoso-and-block
